We’ve got you covered with these 7 top tips to help you ace the Accenture verbal reasoning questions.

7 Top Tips to Pass the Accenture Verbal Reasoning Test

  1. Read Actively: Invest some time in reading before sitting for the actual test. This will help you comprehend written statements and the language used.
  1. Spend some time solving crosswords and other English exercises to make sure you build up on your vocabulary and reasoning skills.
  1. Practice a number of verbal reasoning test questions to understand the pattern of questions and develop strategies that suit you to crack the actual test.
  1. Simulate Test Conditions: When practicing, try to replicate the test environment as closely as possible. Sit in a quiet space, set a timer, and work through passages under timed conditions.
  1. Understand the answer options. True means the statement is correct, false means it is incorrect and cannot say means the information provided in the passage isn’t enough to determine the validity of the statement.
  1. Identify Key Information: Pay attention to keywords and phrases within the passage. These often hold the answers to specific questions and statements.
  1. Base your answer only on the information provided in the passage. Candidates use their own understanding of a particular statement sometimes, which leads them to choose the wrong answer.

LVMH Interview Questions and Answers

Here are 3 example questions that are often asked across the many maisons at LVMH. Below we will cover a good potential answer you can consider when practicing your answers to LVMH interview questions:

  1. Can you give an example of a time when you provided excellent customer service?
  1. How do you handle and resolve conflicts with team members or colleagues?
  1. How do you prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced retail environment?

LVMH Interview tip: Depending on the role and maison you have applied to, you may also be required to tackle a business case study. Prepare for your LVMH case study with our practice Assessment Centre case studies and search for various case studies online (YT included).

The best approach to answering the above LVMH interview questions that we recommend is using the STAR technique. Discover more about the STAR technique and how you can best use this method in this video below:

Question 1: Can you give an example of a time when you provided excellent customer service?
Good example answer:
  • Situation: One example that comes to mind is a time when I was working at a high-end department store at my local mall.
  • Task: A customer came in who was looking for a designer handbag she had found online that was currently out of stock at our store.
  • Action: Instead of simply telling her that we were out of stock, I took the initiative to research the other store locations where the handbag may be available and checked with several other stores to confirm the availability.
  • Result: I was able to find the handbag at a store in a nearby city and had it shipped to our store for the customer to pick up within a week. She was incredibly grateful and even wrote a letter to my manager praising my customer service.
Question 2: How do you handle and resolve conflicts with team members or colleagues?
Good example answer:
  • Situation: During my previous role working with a team of retail assistants, there was a situation where the team leader and a few members of the team had a disagreement over the updated schedule list for the upcoming monthly rotation.
  • Task: We needed to resolve the conflict and find a solution that would be beneficial for all parties and the schedule as quickly as possible.
  • Action: I  promptly scheduled a meeting with the team leader on the weekend and discussed the key concerns for each team member. We were able to have a productive and open dialogue over the course of a few hours, and after discussing the issue, we came to a compromise for the schedule that worked for each team member.
  • Result: As a result, the schedule was quickly organized for the following month and each team member was satisfied with the new rotations. I also used this experience to prevent similar conflicts in the future by implementing better communication and collaboration strategies within the team.
Question 3: How do you prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced retail environment?
Good example answer:
  • Situation: As a retail assistant at the high-end department store, I was often juggling multiple tasks and going between several customers at once.
  • Task: I knew I had to prioritize and manage these tasks to ensure that the tasks were  completed efficiently and effectively, and that the customers were very satisfied with our service.
  • Action: I first created a to-do list for the responsibilities for each day, prioritizing these tasks based on their level of importance and urgency. For larger tasks, I set specific deadlines at the beginning of each week for each task to help me stay on track. I also made sure to regularly check in with my manager to ensure that I was aligned with the store’s priorities and to get any additional support if needed. Where required, I broke down large tasks into smaller, manageable activities and delegated some to my fellow co-workers, which helped me to stay organized and on track.
  • Result: As a result, I was able to consistently meet or exceed my sales goals, and received positive feedback from my manager and customers. I was also able to maintain a good balance between customer service and administrative tasks, which enabled me to exceed expectations.

Once you have impressed in your LVMH interviews, you may be invited to an additional round of assessment in the LVMH Assessment Centre.

Not sure if you should practice to prepare for LVMH assessments? According to research, 60-80% of candidates are rejected based on their aptitude tests results. It is proven that practice increases your chances of getting hired.

A recent study (Bradley et al, 2019) found that candidates who do not practise assessments, tend to fail at the first hurdle of psychometric assessments (54%-84%). This study looked at the Top 100 global employers.

What is the LVMH Assessment Process?

The LVMH assessment process may include:

  1. LVMH Online Application
  2. LVMH Online Assessments
  3. LVMH Interviews
  4. LVMH Assessment Center

LVMH often uses behavioral assessments during the early stages of the assessment process to find candidates that reflect their values. Let’s find out more about these assessments below.

2.4 LVMH Behavioural Tests

What is the LVMH behavioral test?

Behavioral assessments are often used to assess candidates on key competencies required for the role. For example, a retail position within Louis Vuitton aims to find and hire candidates with excellent team player and customer service skills.

Good to know: One of the most common behavioral assessments used by top employers worldwide is the Situational Judgement Test (SJT), which examines how a candidate would respond to a scenario they are likely to face in the workplace.

Tune in to the below quick YouTube video to discover more about SJTs and our top tips to prepare for these assessments:

Practice your SJT technique with us ahead of your LVMH behavioral assessments and access real questions, live test reports, and progress charts.

Similarly personality tests or questionnaires are often used by top employers such as LVMH to discover the best fit candidate for a role using the individual’s workplace preferences to match the job context. For example, a creative and outgoing candidate may be suitable for a marketing position at one of the many Maisons at LVMH.

How do employers such as LVMH use personality questionnaires to hire? Check out this video below to find out!

Good to know: Test publishers and employers may use the terms behavioural and personality interchangeably when it comes to assessment. However, it is important to know that behavioural assessments look to assess how you would behave on the job. Personality assessments on the other hand, unlike SJTs, do not have ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers and look at your preferences. Of course, preferences will influence how someone behaves but these are certainly distinct concepts.

Gain first-hand insights into personality questionnaires ahead of your LVMH behavioral test with our Work Personality Questionnaire (WPQ) designed in-house to help discover what employers will look for in candidates.

For graduates and professionals, the next stage of the application process is the LVMH Interviews. Let’s go take a look at what to expect!
